Our staff is trained in, but not limited to, piano, voice, guitar, percussion, violin, viola, cello and flute. We teach all aspects of musical technique, performance practice, musicality, music theory and then combine them all to create a full and complete experience. Furthermore, we encourage through the study of music, a discipline that is most beneficial for improving self-confidence, cognitive development and creative expression. For students interested in an option that would give them international recognition and distinction, we offer the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in London's program. Our music program offers students multiple opportunities to showcase their talents in several concerts spread out through-out the calendar year. The most important of these concerts being our Winter Formal and Spring Gala concerts. Theater: "Theater, the imagined and enacted world of human beings," is another art form in which students learn what it means to be a human being in vicarious settings where thoughts and feelings can be safely explored and experienced. Through role-playing, scriptwriting, and developing characters in particular circumstances, students create situations and actions that allow them to make sense of their world and to understand those who are different from them. Children have an innate sense of drama. From an early age they create characters and stories to explore their worlds. In an effort to create a seamless transition from the natural skills of dramatic play to the study of theater, students create characters, develop action, explore situations and experiences both like and different from their own, and reflect on their work through observation, discussion, and oral and written analysis. Students are taught to collaborate and cooperate, thus laying the groundwork for greater independence and positive group interaction. Private Music/Theater InstructionPrivate lessons are offered on all popular instruments and voice. We have found that private one-on-one instruction allows students to progress at their own pace and gain the best understanding of musical techniques.
