Music Group Instruction

Musical Theater (ages 9-16)
Musical Theater integrates music, voice, and movement, which create a heightened means of storytelling. By incorporating these three elements, the performers experience and offer a method of expressing dramatic moments through song and dance. Musical Theater is a form of Performing Arts that allows one to communicate to an audience as an actor, singer, and dancer.

Students who are interested must first register and enroll for this class. Auditions for parts will be conducted by an independent third party. As this is a production oriented class, students involved must also be enrolled in an APCA voice class, take voice lessons elsewhere OR have participated in prior APCA Musical Theater programs excluding our Summer minis. Accepted students must enroll in this class. Actors selected must be prepared to commit to all classes and rehearsals.

This Semester's choice:

When Miss Quackenbush takes over a class at the Little Red Schoolhouse, she soon discovers why the previous teacher had a nervous breakdown. Bad poetry, mice in the lunch boxes and a student with the measles is enough to drive anyone crazy. Unless the likable but hare-brained pupils can pass a simple exam, they won't advance to the next grade. It's one inane answer after another as Miss Quackenbush tries to promote this bunch of block heads outta here.

Flexible cast of 12 (approximately 4M, 7F, plus 1 or more additional characters)

*If you are interested in any of our music programs, and are over the age of 17, call or email us and we will be happy to create a class for young adults.
